Eyelid Surgery in Dubai
Eyelid surgery addresses heaviness in the upper lids and puffiness or looseness in the lower lids. At Shookra it begins with an assessment, not a booking — we look at what is actually driving the concern before discussing whether surgery is the right route for you.

What Is Eyelid Surgery?
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure that removes or repositions excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper or lower eyelids to address heaviness, puffiness or a tired appearance around the eyes.
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure on the eyelids. On the upper lids it removes or repositions excess skin and fat that can create a hooded or heavy look; on the lower lids it addresses under-eye puffiness and loose skin. It is one of the more established procedures in facial surgery.
Not every tired-looking eye needs surgery. Heaviness can come from the brow position, from volume loss, or from skin quality rather than the lid itself, and each points to a different approach. The consultation is where we distinguish these, so any plan — surgical or not — is matched to the actual cause.
Where surgery is appropriate, it is planned in detail and carried out under specialist, DHA-licensed care.

Who Is Eyelid Surgery For?
Eyelid surgery is usually considered by people troubled by upper-lid heaviness or hooding, or by lower-lid puffiness and loose skin that has not responded to non-surgical options.
Suitability depends on your eyelid anatomy, eye health and general medical history, which your clinician reviews at consultation before recommending any route. Where a non-surgical option is the better fit, we will say so.
- Heaviness or hooding of the upper eyelids
- Puffiness or bags under the eyes
- Loose or excess eyelid skin
- A tired appearance around the eyes
Who it’s not for
A few situations mean it’s better to wait, or to choose a different treatment:
- Certain eye conditions, such as dry-eye disease or a glaucoma diagnosis, that need review first
- Some uncontrolled medical conditions or medicines that affect healing or bleeding
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
This isn’t exhaustive, and none of it rules you out on its own — your clinician confirms suitability at consultation.
What to Expect from Eyelid Surgery
- 01
Consultation & assessment
Your clinician examines the eyelids and brow, discusses what is bothering you, reviews your eye and medical history, and talks through whether surgery or a non-surgical option is the better route.
- 02
Planning
If surgery is right for you, the specialist plans the procedure around your anatomy and goals, and explains what it involves, the recovery, and the risks before you decide anything.
- 03
Recovery & follow-up
Recovery details and follow-up are set out at consultation and reviewed as you heal. We plan aftercare as part of your care, not as an afterthought.
Meet Your Practitioner
On Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery is precise work, and the consultation matters as much as anything that follows. My job at that first meeting is to understand what you actually want to change, then be honest about whether surgery is the right way to get there — sometimes it is, and sometimes a non-surgical option suits you better. When surgery is the right route, it is planned carefully and carried out under specialist care.
